Editorial Methodology
At Synofeedory, our goal is to provide clear, objective, and purely informational content regarding digital blocking tools. We adhere to a strict set of internal guidelines to ensure our content is accurate and responsible.
1. Objective Feature Analysis
We review software based purely on publicly available technical specifications. We look at:
- Device compatibility (OS versions supported).
- Mechanism of restriction (Database vs. Heuristic vs. DNS).
- User interface and ease of installation.
- Built-in friction (difficulty of bypass or uninstallation).
2. No Invented Metrics
We do not assign arbitrary star ratings, fake scores, or invented awards. Software needs are highly subjective; a tool that works for one person's technical setup may not work for another. We present the features, strengths, and limitations and let the reader decide.
3. Truth in Efficacy
No software is impenetrable. We never guarantee results or state that a piece of software is "100% foolproof." We evaluate how much friction a tool adds, acknowledging that determined individuals with deep technical knowledge may find bypasses.
4. Separation of Categories
We clearly delineate between Gambling-Specific tools (which use maintained databases of gambling domains) and General Blockers (which require manual configuration or focus on general productivity). This helps users find the correct technical application for their goals.
5. Strict Medical Disclaimer
We evaluate software code, not human behavior. We never make medical promises or claim that installing an app cures behavioral addictions. Our reviews will always state that software is an environmental friction tool, not a medical treatment.
